陈思宇的开幕战,令人失望的开始,成功的结束

12月6日,2012年国际乒联世界巡回赛总决赛在杭州开幕。

对于中华台北的陈思宇来说,开幕战无疑是令人失望的,在上午的21岁以下女子单打比赛较量中,她被韩国选手Yang Haeun打败(5-11, 11-7, 11-5, 11-9, 10-12, 11-6)。

这不是一场意外的比赛,因为陈思宇是8号种子,而Yang Haeun是3号种子。

然而,在总结比赛中,陈诗宇完全扭转了局面,她击败了1号种子,日本的Kasumi Ishikawa。

她赢得了六场比赛(8-11,14-12,6-11,11-7,11-4,11-7),并成功进入半决赛。

下午的比赛中,Kasumi Ishikawa击败了四连败的Yang Haeun(13-11, 11-9, 11-7, 14-12)。

Chen I-Ching在首轮击败了日本的Misaki Morizono后,又击败了香港的Lee Ho Ching(11-5, 11-9, 11-8, 6-11, 12-10)。Jeon Jihee击败了Misaki Morizono(8-11, 11-9, 11-8, 11-5, 11-9)。

在团体赛中,Jeon Jihee在七局比赛中战胜了Cheng I-Ching (10-12, 11-6, 11-9, 11-5, 8-11, 8-11, 11-6)。

Lee Ho Ching也是在七局比赛中战胜了Misaki Morizono(9-11. 5-11, 11-2, 5-11, 11-6, 12-10, 11-9)。

半决赛中,Kasumi Ishikawa与Cheng I-Ching相遇,这是2011伦敦决赛的重演。

一年前,Kasumi Ishikawa在决赛中击败了Jeon Jihee。

12/06/2012        GAC GROUP 2012 ITTF World Tour Grand Finals

 

A disappointing start to the opening day of play, Thursday 6th December, at the GAC GROUP 2012 ITTF World Tour Grand Finals in Hangzhou but for Chinese Taipei Chen Szu-Yu but it was a very successful conclusion.

 

In her opening contest in the Under 21 Women Singles event, in the morning session of play, she was beaten in six games by Korea Yang Haeun (5-11, 11-7, 11-5, 11-9, 10-12, 11-6).

 

It was not an unexpected defeat; Chen Szu-Yu is the no.8 seed as opposed to Yang Haeun, who is the no.3 seed.

 

Turned Tables

However, in her concluding match, Chen Szu-Yu completely turned the tables; she beat Japan Kasumi Ishikawa, the no.1 seed, by a similar margin to the defeat she had experienced in her opening contest.

 

She won in six games (8-11, 14-12, 6-11, 11-7, 11-4, 11-7) and in so doing booked her place in the semi-finals.

 

Games Ratio

Earlier in the afternoon session of play, Kasumi Ishikawa had beaten Yang Haeun in four straight games (13-11, 11-9, 11-7, 14-12); all three players overcame Germany luckless Sabine Winter, thus games ratio was the determining factor.

 

First place in the group went to Kasumi Ishikawa (6:4), second place to Chen Szu-Yu (6:6) with Yang Haeun in third spot (4:6); the Korean was the player to miss out, the player who had made such a fine start to the day.

 

Alarm Bells Rang

osing the first match today started alarm bells ringing? reflected Chen Szu-Yu. have no real target in this tournament and against Kasumi I was under no pressure; I knew if I won I had a chance to progress but no chance if I lost, I was really focused.?

Semi-Final Places Booked Early

Semi-final places for Kasumi Ishikawa and Chen Szu-Yu; also for Korea Jeon Jihee and Chen Szu-Yu compatriot, Cheng I-Ching.

 

Both were assured of their places in the second stage of proceedings; both entered the final group match unbeaten.

 

After having beaten Japan Misaki Morizono in her opening encounter, Chen I-Ching continued her good form to beat Hong Kong Lee Ho Ching (11-5, 11-9, 11-8, 6-11, 12-10), whilst in her second match of proceedings, Jeon Jihee defeated Misaki Morizono (8-11, 11-9, 11-8, 11-5, 11-9).

 

Group Places

First place in the group eventually went Jeon Jihee; she overcame Cheng I-Ching in seven games (10-12, 11-6, 11-9, 11-5, 8-11, 8-11, 11-6).

 

Third place but the end of the road, was reserved by Lee Ho Ching; she defeated Misaki Morizono in also in seven games (9-11. 5-11, 11-2, 5-11, 11-6, 12-10, 11-9).

 

Semi-Finals

At the semi-final stage of the Under 21 Women Singles event, Kasumi Ishikawa meets Cheng I-Ching, whilst Jeon Jihee confronts Cheng I-Ching; it means a repeat of the 2011 London final is poosible.

 

One year ago Kasumi Ishikawa beat Jeon Jihee in the final.
