    追随奥运的脚步,发展一个四年架构

    2012年11月26日至30日,国际乒联在古巴乒乓球联合会开展了一次一级培训课程。

    主持人埃维利奥阿尔瓦雷斯主持了这次的关于发展方案的培训,有31位教练参加了为期四天的培训,其中4位是女性。
    值得注意的是,这次有获得过多次全国冠军的古巴的国家队队员 Pavel ,Oxamendy和Glendys Gonzales。

    除了有关课程以外,埃维利奥阿尔瓦雷斯于11月21日到12月4日,会见了古巴乒乓球联合会成员,讨论计划下一个奥运周期的准备工作。

    他还参观了在圣尼古拉斯德巴里的国家残疾人运动员乒乓球中心。

    Developing a Four Year Structure to Follow in Olympian Footseps

    Staged at the Headquarters of the Cuban Table Tennis Federation, an ITTF/PTT Level One Course was staged from Monday 26th to Friday 30th November 2012.

    Organised under the auspices of the ITTF Development Programme, the Course Conductor was the host Evelio Alvarez.

    A total of 31 coaches attended the four day itinerary with four of those in attendance being female.

    Notably Cuban internationals Pavel and Oxamendy and Glendys Gonzales, many times national champi**, attended the course; their presence motivated all concerned.

    Schedule of Meetings
    In addition to the course, Evelio Alvarez met with members of the Cuban Table Tennis Federation between Wednesday 21st November and Tuesday 4th December 2012 to discuss plans for the next Olympic cycle, 2013 to 2016.

    Also he visited the National Centre for Disabled Athlete Preparation Centre for Table Tennis in San Nicolas de Bari, Mayabeque Municipality and the General Assembly of the Cuban Federation of year end.

    Discussi**
    During the 14 day period, the strengths and weaknesses of the current programmes in force in Cuba for the furtherance of table tennis were discussed.

    Specific reference were made to focusing on coaching, tournament organisation and designing schemes to help players with disabilities.

    Coaches
    Recently Cuba has increased its number of coaches to 105 working in 15 provinces.

    President Attended
    Present for the meetings and at the course was Amado Bode, The President of the Cuban Table Tennis Federation.

    He expressed clearly his thanks afforded by the Latin American Table Tennis Union and the International Table Tennis Federation.

    London and Sydney
    The task now is to develop more players to follow in the footsteps of Andy Pereira who competed in the recent London Olympic Games; the first Cuban since the Sydney 2000 to compete in the Olympics

    In Sydney Reinier Sosa, Francisco Arado, Ruben Arado, Maricel Oliva and Leticia Suarez represented Cuba.

    Preparati** are clearly in place, Rio de Janeiro in 2016 awaits.
