“大众汽车2012年世界青少年乒乓球锦标赛”于2012年12月9日在印度南部城市海德拉巴开幕。12日，中国女团三比零战胜日本获得冠军。
顾玉婷和朱雨玲的搭档，为中国队完美的开场。
朱雨玲战胜Mima Ito (11-6, 13-11,11-3)，顾玉婷战胜Ayuka Tanioka (11-9, 11-8, 11-3)，顾若尘战胜Miyu Maeda (9-11, 11-4, 11-5, 11-4)。
日本的Mima以12岁零53天，毫无疑问成为有史以来参加世界青少年乒乓球锦标赛最年轻的球员。
而17岁的朱雨玲以老道的经验，迅速为我国奠定了优势。顾玉婷在防守Ayuka Tanioka 的技巧上也证明了中国女孩的一流球技，在控制上也做得非常好。

顾若尘一年前参加了在巴林的比赛，但是没有打决赛，这次是她第一次参加世界青少年乒乓球锦标赛。
Miyu Maeda的左手快攻在第一局中赢了顾若尘，但是顾若尘很快找到应对办法，取得了后三局的胜利。
这是中国女孩的第十次胜利。

China retained the Girls?Team title at the Volkswagen World Junior Champi**hips in Hyderabad on Wednesday 12th December 2012 overcoming Japan in the final by three matches to nil.

There was to be no repeat of the gold medal contest in 2010 in Bratislava when Japan had sensationally beaten China; the only time China has not won the title.

However, two members of the Chinese team who were on duty in that memorable final were in action in Hyderabad as was one from the Japanese outfit.

Perfect Start
Gu Yuting and Zhu Yuling were both on duty once again and they duly gave China the perfect start.

Zhu Yuling accounted for Mima Ito (11-6, 13-11,11-3), before Gu Yuting overcame Ayuka Tanioka (11-9, 11-8, 11-3), who had played in the final two years earlier.

Gu Ruochen brought matters to a close by defeating Miyu Maeda (9-11, 11-4, 11-5, 11-4).

Youngest Ever
At the age of 12 years and 53 days, Mima Ito was the player selected by Japan to enter the fray in the opening contest.

Unquestionably, she is the youngest player ever to have competed in a final at a World Junior Champi**hips. In fact only one player in the whole tournament in Hyderabad is younger; that being Crystal Wang of the United States.

Chances in Second Game
Attacking quickly, Mima Ito tested the skills of 17 year old Zhu Yuling; in the second game having opportunities to level matters after losing the first game.

Experience counted with Zhu Yuling withstanding the barrage of fast attacking strokes to win the game before dominating the third to give China the early advantage.

Faced Defensive Skills
Next into the arena came Gu Yuting to face the defensive skills of Ayuka Tanioka; the Chinese teenager had to some extent a point to prove.

One day earlier she had been beaten by Petrissa Solja in the semi-final contest against Germany.

No Relaxation
The first game against Ayuka Tanioka was close as was the second, after Gu Yuting had made a flying start.

Again in the third game, Gu Yuting made the better start, she went ahead 8-2, this time she did not relax her grip on proceedings.

China led by two matches to nil.

First Final
The third contest saw Gu Ruochen in action for China; she was the one member of the Chinese outfit who had no previous experience of playing in a Volkswagen World Junior Champi**hips final.

Gu Ruochen had played in Bahrain one year earlier but had not played in the final; on that occasion Chen Meng had played alongside Gu Yuting and Zhu Yuling.

Likewise, for Miyu Maeda it was her first Volkswagen World Junior Champi**hips final.

Top Spin Player
Attacking quickly the left handed attacking skills of Miyu Maeda prevailed in the first game but then Gu Ruochen, a top spin player somewhat in the mould of Guo Yan, asserted her authority on proceedings.

She levelled; then captured the next three games to secure victory.

Tenth Time
Once again gold in the Girls?Team event was in Chinese hands; it was their tenth victory in the event.
